Greetings Everyone,
Deuteronomy 1:21-22 “See, the Lord your God has given you the land. Go up and take possession of it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, told you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” 22 Then all of you came to me and said, “Let us send men ahead to spy out the land for us…”
God never told Israel to spy out the land, he said to possess the land. When God gives you a command to take something, don’t play around questioning God’s word. If God said it, do it.
Too many people spy around God’s promises. A spy is only used when there is no trust. Spouses spy because they don’t trust. The government spies when there’s no trust. Insurance companies spy when there’s no trust.
Like the old hymn says, “trust and obey for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey”. Stop spying and start possessing. You don’t have to pray about what God commanded. If God commanded it do it.
Every commitment you ever make to God will be challenged. Your faith, your ministry, your marriage, your children, your giving, every commitment. Satan will tell you anything you desire to do for God that it can’t be done!
But remember Satan is also a liar. Israel knew it was a good land, and they knew the promise of God. But they would not go in and possess it. Don’t spy out what God has already given you, take hold of it in Jesus’ name.
