As we walk out our faith in Christ Jesus, it is important that we are honest with ourselves regarding our worship towards Him. As we go through the scriptures, we can see individuals as well as all of Israel, that were off in their worship. They perceived themselves to be in one condition or state, yet God saw them in a completely different way (Rev. 3:14-18.) They were what the scriptures describe as “self-deceived.” We can be in a place, hopefully unintentionally, where we are pushing against God rather than being obedient to Him. This message is one of self-examination. The purpose is so that we can obtain a proper assessment of ourselves and if we are truly worshiping the Father in “Spirit and truth.”
